A 52-year-old man has been charged over a fatal dog attack in Auckland, after police raided his house this morning.

The man's dogs allegedly attacked 31-year-old Chloe Mathewson at his semi-rural house in Redvale on Friday March 29.

The North Shore businessman has been charged under the 1996 Dog Control Act with two counts of owning a dog that causes serious injury, along with a series of drug dealing offences.

During raids this morning officers found 15 litres of class-B drug, GBL, hidden in a commercial storage unit in Takapuna and 1.7 kilos of a chemical used to make methamphetamine.

The man faces charges of possession and supply along with two others and will appear in court this afternoon.

The man's two Rottweillers were destroyed shortly after the attack.
